Anatolian TV Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Anatolian TV Android TV and mobile applications and the account and device-pairing services they use (the "Service").
1. Who we are
Anatolian TV is an independent media player. It does not provide, sell, or host any channels, movies, series, streaming subscriptions, or playback rights. Users must connect only streaming sources they are legally entitled to access. The content of any connected source, and the required viewing rights, are the responsibility of the user and the source provider.
2. Data we process
Account and security data
- Email address, display name, email verification status, and account roles.
- Your password is never stored in plain text; only a one-way password hash is kept.
- Session, CSRF, rate-limiting, failed-login, and security audit records.
Device pairing data
- Short-lived pairing code/challenge, device name and model, app version, and the technical tokens required to establish the device session.
- The paired device's relation to your account, last-seen time, and revocation status.
Profile data
- Profile name, avatar/style selection, and active-profile association.
Streaming source data
Your streaming source address and credentials are stored encrypted on your device. They are not published to the profile server. When a source is transferred between your devices, it is delivered via a one-time encrypted handover and deleted from the server after consumption.
Playback and preference data
On devices paired with your account, the following may sync to the account service:
- Favorites and watch progress (content identifiers scoped to profile and streaming source).
- Level, badge, and achievement progress, where enabled.
- Technical metadata such as sync time, version, and error status.
This data is never used to build advertising profiles. Cross-device restore may vary by installed version and account path.
Support and diagnostics data
When you submit a support request, we process the subject, message, any attachments you provide, and the contact details needed to reply. Technical diagnostics are kept minimal; your streaming password or full playback URL is never logged.
3. Device permissions and third-party services
- Local media permission is used only to play videos on your device; your files are never uploaded to any server.
- Google Cast (mobile): the connection runs through Google Cast components and the target device; Google's applicable terms also apply.
- TMDB (The Movie Database): to fetch posters and metadata, the app sends content-title queries to the TMDB API. These queries contain no account data; by the nature of internet connections, TMDB sees your IP address. See TMDB's privacy policy.
- Email delivery: account verification and security emails are sent via our email delivery provider (Resend), which processes only the data required for message delivery.
- Google Play and Amazon Appstore may process data for installation and store usage under their own policies.
4. Advertising and analytics
Anatolian TV contains no third-party ad network and uses no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
5. Retention and deletion
Account, profile, device, and sync data are retained only as long as needed for the operation of the product, security, and legal obligations. When you delete your account, associated data is deleted, or records we are legally required to keep are moved to a separate, restricted retention regime. 6. Security
Server communication uses HTTPS. Sessions, roles, and resource access follow the principle of least privilege. Streaming source data stored on the device is protected with Android Keystore-backed encryption. No technical measure guarantees zero risk; if we detect a security incident, we will make the notifications required by applicable law.
7. International data transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in different countries. When your data is transferred across borders, we apply the safeguards required by applicable law (Turkish KVKK Art. 9, GDPR Chapter V).
8. Your rights
Türkiye (KVKK)
Under Law No. 6698 (KVKK) Art. 11, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties it is transferred to, request correction, deletion/destruction, object, and claim damages. Send requests to support@anatoliantv.com; we respond within 30 days at the latest. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
EEA / United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our legal bases are: performance of contract (providing the Service), legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention), and your consent (optional features). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising. You may exercise your rights to know, delete, correct, and non-discrimination via support@anatoliantv.com.
Other regions
You may exercise the rights granted by your local data protection law through the same contact channel.
9. Children's privacy
Anatolian TV is a general-audience media player and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact support@anatoliantv.com and we will delete the records. The content of any streaming source you connect is not controlled by the app; parental supervision is the user's responsibility.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
